How SlabQuant generates signals for trading cards.
What We Do
SlabQuant scores 60,000+ Pokemon cards every day using a proprietary quantitative algorithm. Each card receives three independent signals:
- Grade Signal — Should you grade this raw card?
- Raw Signal — Should you buy or hold this card raw?
- Sell Signal — If you own it, should you sell now?
How It Works
Proprietary Scoring Algorithm
Our algorithm analyzes 9 quantitative factors across pricing, supply dynamics, market conditions, and demand signals to produce a composite score for every card. Factor weights are optimized using machine learning on historical outcomes.
10,000 Simulations Per Card
Every report runs 10,000 simulations to calculate your probability of profit. Rather than a simple "yes or no," you get real odds: "73% chance of profit."
Real Grading Data
We use actual PSA, CGC, BGS, and SGC population reports and real eBay completed sales data — not estimates or blended averages. Every price in our system comes from a verified transaction.
Multi-Source Intelligence
Our signals combine data from multiple independent sources including real-time market pricing, grading population databases, search demand indicators, and supply-side analytics.
Machine Learning Optimization
Factor weights are continuously optimized using ML trained on historical price movements. The algorithm improves monthly as more outcome data becomes available.

Understanding Your Report
Every SlabQuant report gives you a complete picture. Here's what each section means:
Three Signals
Every card gets three independent signals: Grade It? (should you send it to PSA), Buy Raw? (should you buy and hold), and Sell Now? (should you cash out if you own it).
Composite Score (0-10)
A single number that captures the overall opportunity. 8+ is strong, 5-7 is moderate, below 5 is weak. Combines all 9 scoring factors into one score.
PSA Price Breakdown
Real sold prices for PSA 10, PSA 9, and PSA 8 grades from verified eBay transactions. See exactly what each grade sells for and the grading multiple (how much more a graded card is worth vs raw).
Profit Probability
We simulate grading your card 10,000 times. The result: "73% chance of profit" tells you how often you'd make money, plus the best and worst case scenarios.
Price Direction
Is this card's value going up or down? We analyze supply dynamics, market trends, and demand signals to forecast whether the price is appreciating, stable, or declining.
